It is truly a pleasure to see the energy and excitement your children bring to our school every day. They have made a wonderful transition, and the classrooms are vibrant hubs of learning and exploration.
Children have successfully settled into the routines and expectations of a full school day. They are learning how to share, listen respectfully, and manage their emotions and transitions—all essential building blocks for academic success. Academically, our focus has been on foundational skills: students are actively working on letter recognition and sounds, building phonological awareness, and developing number sense with counting and early writing.
This is a time when the seeds planted in the first few weeks really begin to sprout, and the progress is remarkable. I encourage you to celebrate these milestones with your child at home! Continue to prioritize learning and encourage them to practice those growing independent skills, like zipping their coat, blowing noses or putting away their toys. These small acts reinforce the self-management we work on daily.
Thank you for your partnership. Your active support is vital to our students’ success, and we look forward to continuing this exciting journey through the rest of the first trimester and beyond.
