Students in Mrs. Parkinson’s class enjoyed a fun fall activity that connected literacy and math! After reading Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn, they went on a leaf walk and brought their leaves inside to sort, count, and compare groups. Students practiced using math vocabulary such as more, fewer, and equal as they compared the number of leaves. They finished by creating their own leaves and playing a math game with a partner. A fun way to bring fall into their learning!
