Online Read Aloud – Mr. Ersalesi Reads to Students!
Mr. Ersalesi, the supervisor of English and Arts for the Rutherford Public Schools, reads aloud to students each school day during virtual instruction. A good book can help transport kids (and adults) to other places and times! And sometimes a good book is just a lot of fun! We hope that you were able to use these books as a little bit of fun and enjoyment every single day! We hope you enjoyed the read alouds this year. RHS Celebrates the 1920’s – It’s Gatsby Day!
Students in Ms. Prinzo's English 200 classes have been working hard researching cultural aspects of the 1920s (such as jazz, fashion trends, political changes, and of course prohibition!) and prepared an immersive 1920s experience for all to enjoy! The students worked along-side RHS Media Specialist Ms. Mayo to put together an afternoon that truly was "the bees knees!"

RHS Academic Decathlon Takes 2nd Place in Regionals with 77 Individual Awards!
The Rutherford High School Academic Decathlon took 2nd place overall in the Regional Competition, garnering a whopping 77 individual awards! The team will now move on to states. The State Championship is on Feb. 29th.
Some highlights:
Tierra Sherlock: 10 for 10, with an award in each category, including Gold in Speech
Christina Scanlon: 8 out of 10, with Gold in Music and Art
Matt Peeples: 8 out of 10, w/ Gold in Literature and Science, second highest scorer in his category.
