Fall Descriptive Writing
The students in Ms. Freitag’s class made observations of fall objects like leaves, pumpkins, pinecones and gourds. Students noticed how the objects smelled, felt, and looked. Students then wrote descriptive sentences to include adjectives and sensory details. Leaves are falling and autumn is calling!
The first trip to the Lincoln Woods was a huge success as students made observations along the trail. The bright colors of fall carried into the building. Aspiring artists dabbled in sponge paint as they created their very own fall masterpieces. Security Team Visit
On Wednesday, October 9, a team of security professionals observed lockdown/active shooter drills at selected schools in the District. Observers were from the New Jersey Department of Education Office of School Preparedness and Emergency Planning, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the New Jersey State Police, the Bergen County Office of Emergency Management, and the Rutherford Police Department.
