RHS is Victorious in Annual Spelling Bee
Rutherford High School was once again victorious in the annual Spelling Bee against Becton Regional High School. Over the three-hour competition held on Wednesday, November 27th, students in the National Honor Society dazzled the audience with their spellings of such difficult words as: echelon, surreptitious, genealogical, velociraptor, machination, epicurean, gubernatorial, inquietude, and anticoagulant. Parent Academy Hosts Bar Modeling Workshop
Ms. Egar-Smith, a second grade teacher at Lincoln School, reviewed the bar modeling strategy with parents of students in elementary school. Ms. Egar-Smith reviewed the steps needed to solve a problem and then guided parents as they used bar models to solve word problems.
