Traditionally, each school in the Rutherford Public Schools holds an art show or an "Evening of the Arts." In lieu of the building closures, this year the district art teachers have worked together to create The Rutherford Public Schools' Weekend of the Arts from June 12th-14th! Students in Grades K-8 are asked to hang one piece (or two or three or 27 pieces!) of their artwork in the windows of their home that face the street. 19-20 School Calendar Change
Originally all district schools were to be closed on Friday, May 22 (if all snow days were not used) and on Tuesday, May 26 (for a Teacher Professional Development Day). At the May 11 Board of Education meeting, the Board approved the following change to the school calendar: All district schools will be in session for Distance Learning on Friday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 26. Schools will be closed on Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day. The last day of school for students and teachers is now Friday, June 19.
