Signs of Thanksgiving at Lincoln
Some Thanksgiving traditions continue like Dr. Velechko and the preschoolers donning turkey costumes. Ms. Kochan's class took a group photo by the PTA Thanksgiving decorations and first graders made cornucopia graphs with fruit candies. First graders also experimented with various shapes and materials to recreate the Mayflower ship. Students had to test their ships for seaworthiness and ability to carry passengers. RHS students deliver homemade cards to local Senior Center
In an effort to spread some cheer, Rutherford High School students made fall greetings cards for local seniors. Ninety handmade cards were delivered to the 55 Kipp Center in town to be distributed to the 75 seniors who live there. The effort was headed by Ms. Stephanie Smallstey, an Algebra II teacher, who wants to get more involved with helping local senior citizens.
