Discovery Trip to Grounds for Sculpture
Students from the Lincoln and Washington School Discovery programs took their annual trip to Grounds for Sculpture in late October. The weather was perfect and the sculptures were "amazing," according to the students. Each participant chose a sculptor to research prior to the trip. With the exception of one sculptor, all students found their sculptor's work. We also saw some wildlife on display: peacocks, frogs, and a great grey heron that Ms. DeBouter thought was a sculpture! Veterans Day kicks off our month-long commitment to cultivating an attitude of gratitude! Our students have created messages of thanks and submitted photos or illustrations of the veterans in their lives. Their wonderful work is displayed on our Wall of Honor—a vibrant testament for the selfless service of our nation's heroes.
