Chromebook Insurance for 2019-2020
All students in Grades 6-12 attending Rutherford Public Schools have been or will be issued a Chromebook to use in school and at home. Each Chromebook comes with a limited factory warranty which covers the cost of repair for manufacturer defects. Damages due to accidents or abuse/neglect are the responsibility of the student and subject to the cost of repair or replacement of the device. Lost or stolen Chromebooks must be replaced and will incur a charge totaling the replacement cost. The District does not provide insurance coverage on the Chromebook. PowerSchool Registration/Enrollment (our online student registration/data validation system) for the 2019-2020 school year will be opening late in the week of August 12, 2019. Emails will be sent to the two primary email addresses listed in PowerSchool and will be sent in batches over a few days. If you have more than one child in the district, please wait until you receive an email for all of your children before beginning the registration process. We're so proud to be part of the New Jersey public school system, which was just ranked no. 2 in the United States! Summer Enrichment Academy Soars
Students soared through the second theme learning about flight. In Reading, students used their strategies to identify main idea, problem & solution, story elements, cause and effect, and non-fiction text features. Students collaborated to discuss facts learned about the Wright Brothers, Amelia Earhart, hot air ballooning and parachuting. Did you know that roosters and sheep were the first passengers to ride in a hot air balloon??
