When we moved to distance learning in mid-March, our Technology Team sprang into action. We relied heavily on emails and online meetings and lessons to continue learning outside of the classroom. Connectivity issue? Malfunctioning device? Our Tech Team either fixed it or swapped devices so teachers could keep teaching and students could keep learning.
1,364 Chromebooks are managed and maintained yearly for students in grades 6-12
280 more devices were distributed for students in grades K-5 in March
1,680 emails were sent to the Tech Team asking for assistance with devices
ZERO system crashes! Priceless.
Those impressive numbers illustrate just how vital the Tech Team is to Rutherford’s success with distance learning!
A note of gratitude for parents: We know these past few months weren’t easy, but parents did an amazing job helping their children, our students, stay on task. They turned kitchens into classrooms and helped teachers stay connected to students while juggling their own responsibilities. Distance learning is something we all learned together, and we appreciated all the patience and support parents demonstrated while we navigated this new chapter in education. It’s not how anyone envisioned the school year ending, but we are so proud of how we all pulled together to get through it.
