Meet Mrs. Lori Mundy, Pierrepont School’s guidance counselor. Mrs. Mundy recently joined the Pierrepont team, but quickly became an MVP. One can find Mrs. Mundy in the lunchroom, the recess field, and in the gym making connections with the students. They seek her out for assistance, a conversation, or a simple hello.
Mrs. Mundy also visits classrooms to teach students about conflict resolution, strategies on how to self-regulate when they are feeling anxious, and responsible play.
One of our Pierrepont students said, “Mrs. Mundy is really kind. She always has a smile and is always doing something kind for the students. Whenever I see her, she reminds me of a star that makes you smile. She has helped me with classroom strategies when I get fidgety and I can talk to her about anything.“
In addition to her duties as a guidance counselor, Mrs. Munday also coordinates standardized testing procedures and bridges middle school with sixth-grade scheduling. She works closely with administration in the building and across the district, helping wherever she can.
Mrs. Mundy is a wonderful addition to the Bulldog family and spreads positivity everywhere she goes.
