Meet Mrs. Kim Fecanin, Union Middle School nurse extraordinaire! The definition of extraordinaire is extremely impressive, and that’s Mrs. Fecanin. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020, Mrs. Fecanin has been working countless hours helping students, parents, staff, and the community. Her calm and kindhearted demeanor towards others has provided individuals with a level of comfort that’s much needed during these arduous times.
Mrs. Fecanin’s duties do not stop at nursing. She is Union School’s 504 coordinator, which helps students with special needs, and a member of the Response to Intervention (RTI) and Advisory committees. She is extremely involved and always seeking ways to meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of our students. Mrs. Fecanin has been able to assist the administration with creating a kind and compassionate environment for students, staff, and parents.
When she’s not busy making Union School a safe and welcoming environment, Mrs. Fecanin spends her time working as a nurse for PM Pediatrics. She has been on the frontlines since the beginning of the pandemic and continues to help individuals in need. She exemplifies the characteristics of a true leader and continues to go above and beyond.
Thank you, Nurse Fecanin for all you do for UMS and the community!
