Pierrepont School 6th graders graduated from the LEAD program on April 3, 2019. LEAD, which is taught by instructors from the Rutherford Police Department, is introduced in health class and is designed to deter youth from drugs, crime, bullying, and violence. Chief Russo attended the graduation along with several RPD officers who led students through stations to mimic the impairment to senses while under the influence. One sixth grader from each homeroom received the Spirit Award for outstanding participation. Thank you to Sgt. Ziegler for coordinating the program.
