Kindergarteners wrote letters to various people in their lives. Mrs. Caughey received quite a few from the students with requests for longer PE periods, lunch in school, and even faster, taller slides for the playground. Children were very creative with their writing. One student even wrote to the Tooth Fairy, asking for the Tooth Fairy to increase her pay per tooth because she loves shopping at #Target! What an amazing year of growth by our students!
Everyone Is A Reader
Read Across America is the nation's largest celebration of reading! Throughout the week students celebrated reading with a variety of diverse texts! Families were encouraged to join in the fun and special guests readers shared their love of reading through read alouds. The energy brought to the Kindergarten Center was powerful as we work to foster a love of reading at the earliest ages! Core Yoga for Youth at the Kindergarten Center
The Kindergarten Center PTA partnered with instructors from Core Yoga for Youth to bring instructors into the classroom (remotely) to teach Mindfulness, breathing, movement, and relaxation.
