19-20 School Calendar Change
Originally all district schools were to be closed on Friday, May 22 (if all snow days were not used) and on Tuesday, May 26 (for a Teacher Professional Development Day). At the May 11 Board of Education meeting, the Board approved the following change to the school calendar: All district schools will be in session for Distance Learning on Friday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 26. Today Governor Murphy announced that school buildings will remain closed for the remainder of the academic year. Distance learning will continue in the District. We continue to review and evaluate our delivery of instruction. The District's Virtual Learning Plan was submitted and approved by the Department of Education, so we will continue to follow that framework, but the administrators, supervisors, and teachers continue to modify lessons to address the needs of the students.
