I am so excited to say, \u201cWelcome, Spring!\u201d
\nWe have many exciting activities ahead in the months to come. Our students will have the opportunity to practice responsibility and teamwork during our annual (and rescheduled) Scooterville event this March. We also look forward to continuing the educational and engaging Washington tradition of Discovery Day later this spring. Read Across America kicks off in early March, and we have both beloved traditions, including our spring Book Fair and author visit, and new experiences planned for our students. At home, please continue to encourage your child to read daily and practice math fluency skills. These small, consistent efforts make a big difference.<\/p>\n
In school, we remain focused on strengthening executive functioning skills. Across classrooms and schoolwide, we are helping students build organization, manners, time management, patience and self-regulation skills.<\/p>\n
Our Word of the Week program continues to support vocabulary development, language growth, and character education. In addition, our State of the Week initiative brings geography to life by introducing students to new facts and information about states across the country. I encourage you to ask your child about the state we are learning about. They love sharing their knowledge.<\/p>\n
Spring is always a season of growth, and we look forward to seeing our students continue to thrive.<\/p>\n
