Dear Washington School Parents and Guardians,<\/p>\n
I hope that your first few days of remote\/virtual learning went as smoothly as could be expected for you and your children.\u00a0 We have received a lot of positive feedback for which we are all happy and grateful.\u00a0 Yet, we are also aware that there will be challenges along the way and that the challenges may be different for each family.<\/p>\n
With that in mind, I wanted to clarify our expectations with regard to time(s) on task.\u00a0 As you are aware, the school day is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. \u2013 12:30 p.m.\u00a0 It is during those hours that assignments will be posted and shared.\u00a0 It is also the time frame when our staff will be directly available to you and your children.<\/p>\n
We do hope that, within your capabilities, your children are actively engaged in their lessons and activities during the posted hours.\u00a0 However, we understand that your job responsibilities and other issues can make that schedule difficult to fully attend to.\u00a0 We want to be flexible to your individual family needs.<\/em><\/p>\n Therefore, your children can certainly complete their schoolwork at other times of the day (or even week) as well.\u00a0 You can submit assignments at alternate times also.
