Washington School<\/span><\/p>\n Halloween Activities<\/span><\/p>\n PTA Halloween Dance – Grades 1-3<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n Friday, October 25, 2019 from 6:30 p.m. \u2013 8:00 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n Children are encouraged to wear **costumes.\u00a0 Each child must be signed in and out of the party by a parent.\u00a0 Enter through the triple doors for drop-off and pick-up. After signing your child out, exit through the single door adjacent to the PE office.\u00a0 Be prompt picking your child up at 8:00 p.m. <\/span>No child will be released to the custody of another parent unless written confirmation has been provided to the PTA president. <\/b>\u00a0The chaperone list is complete at this time.<\/span><\/p>\n Halloween Parade –\u00a0 Pre-K 4, Full-Day Pre-K and Grades 1-3<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n Thursday, October 31 at 1:30 p.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n (In the event of rain, we will have a short parade in the multipurpose room, and parents will be able to enter between 1:10-1:25 using the single door that leads to the gym.)<\/span><\/p>\n Students will exit the school via the triple doors, walk down our driveway and make a left on Washington Avenue.\u00a0 They will continue to the corner of Wood Street making another left and proceed towards the main door where they will follow the pathway back to the driveway\/playground.\u00a0 Please leave sufficient room in the driveway for students to walk toward the sidewalk.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Students should be dressed in their **costume when they arrive for school.\u00a0 At the conclusion of the parade, classes will gather in designated areas for a brief photo-op.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The students will participate in a classroom activity following the parade.\u00a0 Please do not send in treat bags. No candy will be distributed.<\/span><\/p>\n We all look forward to safe celebrations.\u00a0 Thank you for your anticipated cooperation!<\/span><\/p>\n **<\/b>Remember, toy weapons of any kind are prohibited.\u00a0 Avoid excessively scary costumes, as they may frighten our younger students.\u00a0 Our Halloween celebration should be free of \u201cblood, guts and gore\u201d.
