The Grade 3 students in Ms. Hetzel and Mrs. Podolanczuk’s class recently put their reasoning and creative skills to work, while discovering what makes a bridge strong. Through the Mystery Doug Science series, students viewed videos explaining the workings and designs of bridges.\u00a0 Students worked in pairs, using 2 pieces of paper and\u00a0 50+ pennies in designing their own bridge.\u00a0 (2\"\" \"\" \"\" \"\"\"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" large books were used as “banks” on the side of the bridge.)\u00a0 Our strongest bridge held 135 pennies!\u00a0 Pretty impressive.\u00a0 Students were excited and proud in<\/p>\n
