December 4th – Winter Band Concert at 7:00 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

December 9th – Winter Choral Concert at 7:00 pm.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

December 23rd \u2013 One Session Day \u2013 12:18 pm Dismissal\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

December 24th – January 2nd – School Closed – Winter Recess\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

January 5th – Schools Reopen\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

January 8th \u2013 Curriculum Night at RHS\u00a0 \u2013 7:00 p.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

January 19th \u2013 Martin Luther King Day \u2013 School Closed<\/span><\/p>\n

January 22nd – 30th\u00a0 \u2013 Grade 7 Scheduling for UMS<\/span><\/p>\n

February 5th \u2013 UMS Orientation for grade six parents \u2013 7:00 p.m. (Inclement weather date February 11th)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

February 10th \u2013 Grade 8 UMS students visit the High School\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

February 13th – Winter Recess -School Closed<\/span><\/p>\n

February 16th – Winter Recess (Presidents Day) – School Closed\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

February 18th \u2013 UMS Orientation for grade six students\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

February 23rd \u2013 February 27th \u2013 Grade 8 Scheduling for RHS\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

March 2nd \u2013 March 10th \u2013 Grade 6 Scheduling at Pierrepont\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As we move toward the winter months, please make sure your children are properly dressed for the cold weather. Students should wear a warm coat, gloves, a hat, etc. <\/span>Most days, the students will go outside for lunch recess and physical education.<\/span><\/p>\n

Please review with your child what you expect them to do if an emergency closing is called after the start of the school day. In the event of an emergency closing, students will be dismissed at 12:18 p.m. If a delayed opening occurs, please be aware that homeroom begins at 10:40 a.m., and dismissal is at 3:00 p.m.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If your child will be absent from school, please contact the office before 8:00 am. You can also utilize the following link to email the attendance office to report an\u00a0 absence:\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/www.rutherfordschools.org\/union\/about-union-school\/reporting-absence\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n
