{"id":3557,"date":"2022-01-03T12:15:58","date_gmt":"2022-01-03T17:15:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rutherfordschools.org\/union\/?p=3557"},"modified":"2022-01-03T12:15:58","modified_gmt":"2022-01-03T17:15:58","slug":"january-and-february-events-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rutherfordschools.org\/union\/january-and-february-events-2\/","title":{"rendered":"January and February Events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy New Year!\u00a0 Hopefully, you had a great holiday break, and all of your wishes came true.\u00a0 It\u2019s hard to believe that the holidays are over, and we are now in January 2022.\u00a0 Below are important dates for January and February:<\/p>\n<p>January 10 \u2013 21<strong> \u2013 Grade 7 Scheduling for UMS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>January 17 \u2013 <strong>Martin Luther King Day \u2013 School Closed<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>January 20 \u2013 <strong>Curriculum Night at RHS \u00a0\u2013 7:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>February 3<strong> \u2013 UMS Orientation for grade six parents \u2013 7:00 p.m. (Inclement weather date February 10) <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>February 17<strong> \u2013 Grade 8 UMS students visit the High School <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>February 18<strong> &#8211; Winter Recess &#8211; School Closed<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>February 21 &#8211;<strong> Winter Recess (Presidents Day) &#8211; School Closed\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>February 22 and 23<strong> \u2013 UMS Orientation for grade six students <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>February 24 \u2013 March 4 \u2013 <strong>Grade 8 Scheduling for RHS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>March 1 \u2013 March 11<strong> \u2013 Grade 6 Scheduling at Pierrepont <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As we move toward the winter months, please make sure your children are properly dressed for the cold weather. Students should wear a warm coat, gloves, hat, etc. <u>The students will go outside for lunch recess and physical education on most days.<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Please review with your child what you expect them to do if an emergency closing is called after the start of the school day.
