The Rutherford High School Athletic Department, led by <\/span>Mr. David Frazier<\/b><\/a>, has a proud tradition of excellence in interscholastic sports. Over the years, the Bulldogs have captured numerous league, county, and state titles, earning a strong reputation in high school athletics.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rutherford High School competes in the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference (NJIC). For the first decade of NJIC membership, the Bulldogs played in the Colonial Division. Following the pandemic, conference divisions were realigned, and Rutherford began competing in the National Division. Moving forward, the NJIC will implement performance-based divisions to ensure fair and competitive matchups. This change will allow the Bulldogs to face the top schools in each sport across the conference\u2014a challenge they welcome.<\/span><\/p>\n
