It is then that they continue on in their decade long tradition of observing the metamorphosis of the Painted Lady caterpillars into butterflies. Incorporating both language arts skills of writing butterfly poems during April&#8217;s poetry month and science on the life cycle of animals, students develop a sense of respect and understanding for these and other creatures of the Earth.
