They learned about the way prehistoric humans would hunt, gather, find shelter, and migrate following animals in order to survive. The students then created a writing piece that summarized a typical Stone Age occurrence, such as cooking food by the fire or spearing a wild animal. Using brown poster paper and chalk pastel crayons, they depicted that event in image form. The Sixth Graders then simulated a &#8220;cave walk&#8221; using flashlights as torches and studied one another&#8217;s images on the walls.
