Respect is a way of treating or thinking about something or someone. If you respect your teacher, you admire her and treat her well. People respect others who are impressive for any reason, such as being in authority \u2014 like a teacher or police officer \u2014 or being an elder \u2014 like a grandparent. We will also teach children to respect \u201cthings,\u201d as well as people.. For example, we will work on being respectful of Lincoln School by cleaning up and taking care of the Woods.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>HOW TO BE<\/u><\/strong><strong><u> RESPECTFUL\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Treat other people the way you want to be treated.<\/li>\n<li>Be courteous and polite.<\/li>\n<li>Listen to what other people have to say.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t insult people, or make fun of them, or call them names.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t bully or pick on others.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t judge people before you get to know them.<\/li>\n<li>Take care of your environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This month Lincoln School is focusing on the hard character trait- Respect.
