The components of self-control are balance, calmness, determination, confidence and will power. Teaching self-control is one of the most important skills that a parent can do for their child as self-control is a contributing factor to success later in life.\u00a0 By learning self-control, a child can make appropriate decisions and respond to stressful situations in ways that can yield positive outcomes.
