It is vital students spend time reinforcing skills.\u00a0 The grade-level teachers have developed a \u201csummer calendar\u201d to review some topics.\u00a0 RAZ-Kids accounts will be active all summer.\u00a0 Please remember to review math facts and concepts presented from the year.\u00a0 Erase the math workbook and start over. Check your teacher\u2019s website for additional ideas\u00a0 There are also workbooks that you can purchase which review skills.\u00a0 A Summer Calendar <\/span>Summer Calendar<\/span><\/a> for incoming 2nd and 3rd graders will be posted on the website, but a copy is attached.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a parent, my son kept a journal over the summer highlighting our trips and special day trips.\u00a0 You can do this on-line or in a journal and it is a keepsake!\u00a0 My son then worked 30 minutes a day on math and another 20 minutes on word work\/spelling.\u00a0 Finally, we read, read and read.\u00a0 Whatever you do, you must make learning part of everyday experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n

Summer Reading 2025<\/b> \u2013 <\/b>\u00a0Sometimes when you read something you really love, you want to tell someone about it.\u00a0 If you\u2019d like to, you may complete an optional assignment.<\/span> Summer Assignments.. <\/span><\/a>Students can turn it into their new teacher in September. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Most importantly, have fun together!\u00a0 Every trip to the beach, lake, museum, zoo, meal or park is an opportunity to create experiences that can be linked to future learning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
