As the first phase of the trails nears completion, the landscape contractor has made great progress. In order to prepare the ground for excavation, trails were marked and a 6-8\u201d layer of wood chips were placed on top of the prepared ground to make the area safe. The Shade Tree Committee then added temporary demarcation roping to make the trails visible. In order to continue the ongoing development of the area, the Lincoln Woods Committee discussed purchasing\/making signage, placement of the butterfly garden in the meadow area in memory of Mrs. Giusto-Cammerano, and installing a gate from Lincoln School property to the site. The majority of the funds raised for Lincoln Woods have been expended. Any donations to continue the work would be gratefully accepted. Mrs. Velechko will be discussing more details of the Lincoln Woods project at the next PTA meeting.If anyone has wood working skills, please reach out to Mrs. Velechko to help with the proposed signage.
