Karen Orloff, author of\u00a0I Wanna Iguana<\/em><\/strong>, visited Lincoln School on April 6. Mrs. Orloff read several of her stories to the students, as well as explained how an author created a book and it gets published.\u00a0 Ms. Orloff surprised\u00a0many students when she said she had never met the illustrators of her books, and that she has very little input on the illustrations.\u00a0 Third grade classes participated in an activity to develop ideas for stories. Ms. Orloff’s books, which are wonderful for teaching\u00a0persuasive writing, were enjoyed by all of the children throughout the day.<\/p>\n
