We want the children to learn to be tolerant of ideas, culture, people, foods, and experiences. The students may not always agree with one another, but they can learn to listen, summarize and maybe even reflect on a different perspective. The teachers will teach open-mindedness by discussing points of view in literature, history or resolving a conflict between two students.\u00a0 Parents can encourage their children to listen to new music or try a new food.\u00a0\u00a0 As always, we all encourage our students to embrace what makes us unique!<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>If you keep an open mind, you can learn so much from the people around you. <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>&#8211;Lynn Good<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This month Lincoln School is focusing on the hard character trait- Open-mindedness.
