Our 3rd grade students were immersed into a world of change that favored the &#8220;fittest&#8221; via Natural Selection, beneficial adaptations, and variations that occur naturally in any species.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Fossils records indicate that smaller, faster, smarter, were the models Earth selected to survive.\u00a0 The raptors had feathers, pack mentality, and by all indications, were warm blooded, nest building, brooding lifeforms able to glide, climb, and out-think their prey.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The third graders created models of raptors with Ms. Ogden, the elementary science specialist.
