The Rutherford Education Foundation has announced that it will accept educational grant applications for fall grant cycles. The deadline for grant requests is March 31. At the May board meeting, funding is voted on and applicants will be notified of their award.  Funds are then used for implementation in the fall.

Any person, including Rutherford administrators and teachers, is invited to submit an application as are community groups associated with Rutherford schools such as Parent Teacher Associations or Home School Associations.

Applications will be judged primarily on educational merit, innovation and need. Compliance with the educational goals and objectives of the Rutherford School District is a factor in making grant decisions. There is no limit on the amount of a grant request.

Grant application forms are available from the REF, Post Office Box 246, Rutherford, New Jersey 07070 or from the district's central administration office and each school's principal's office. The application is available for download in PDF or in Microsoft Word form.

Completed applications should be reviewed by your administrator then sent to the board office at Ms. O'Keefe's attention.

Applicants may be invited to meet with the REF Board of Trustees prior to making its final funding decision. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact a member of the Board of Trustees.
