Due to the fact that all of our activities are conducted on hard surfaces, Ms. Bertrand, Mr. Parise, and I recommend that canvas or “converse” type sneakers not be used by our
students. Also, slip on sneakers are not appropriate since they sometimes “fly off” a student’s foot during an activity.
In past years, the lack of support and cushioning provided by these types of sneakers have raised issues with foot, ankle, and shin pain in our students. We highly recommend the use of good athletic sneakers with laces, which will provide proper support and cushion for your child’s feet during activities.
More information regarding physical education classes and proper attire can be found in the Student Handbook located on our website.
