Art & Music

For years, Rutherford High School’s art department has graduated exemplary students who have moved on to college and other places of higher education. With a full working darkroom, a pottery kiln, pottery wheels, and computer art equipment. RHS has one of the most well equipped art departments in the state.]

The music department at RHS is one of the most advanced in the state. Rutherford is one of the only schools in the county with a fully equipped musical multimedia lab. Its Music Technology class allows students to not only learn how to play music on digital MIDI keyboards, but also provides them with the knowledge they need to compose their own songs. Rutherford High School also offers a variety of other music classes, ranging from Concert Choir to Marching Band to Rock Ensemble.
